Founded by Laurent Vernhes and Michael Davis in 2000, Tablet Hotels is a tightly-edited selection of reviewed hotels.
No hotel can become a Tablet Hotel before being subjected to the Tablet review process.
There is no fee for hotels to be featured on Tablet Hotels, however each is anonymously visited by someone in Tablet's network, and the reports are reviewed by co-founder and CEO, Laurent Vernhes, as well as the other members of a selection committee - many of whom have travel industry, architecture or design backgrounds.
Each hotel page lists customer ratings in the form of the Tablet Hotels Meter, submitted only by Tablet Hotels customers who have actually stayed in the hotel in question.
Should a hotel fall below fifteen points out of a possible twenty, it is automatically removed from the Tablet selection.
Guests are further invited to join the TabletPlus amenity programme, and to interact through the TabletTalk and Global Nomads features found on the website.
