Brittany Ferries was formed by French farming co-operatives and the North Finistère Chamber of Commerce in 1972, to offer services across the Western Channel between Brittany and England.
In 1978, services began to Santander in Northern Spain, as well as on the Cork to Roscoff route. Not only is it a ferry operator, but it acts as a tour operator as well, offering self-drive holidays throughout France, Spain and Portugal.
Frequent travellers can join the Travel Club, aimed principally at property owners abroad but open to all upon payment of a fee. The Travel Club offers discounts on fares, on board savings and other benefits and amenities.
